WakePix turns one or two photos into a 12-second AI rap video: it writes four original lines, generates the vocals and a beat, and lip-syncs the people in the photos on a stage they pick. It is run by Clooms, an independent studio, and founded by Hommer Zhao, Founder & General Manager.

The AI models behind WakePix

As configured in the WakePix code on 4 November 2026, videos are rendered with ByteDance's Seedance 2.0 video models (the Fast and Standard options), and the prompt asks for the picture and the audio in one render. Optional lyrics are written by OpenAI's GPT-5.2 (with Google's Gemini 3 Pro as a fallback) from the topic you type. Model capabilities are described by their providers; we have not tested them beyond our own renders. WakePix is not affiliated with these model providers and does not copy real voices, artists or existing songs.
